Consultancy on population health management

GKSD Healthcare Management and Consulting joined the Saudi Vision 2030 to transform the health sector by developing the strategic designing and implementation of Population Health Management (PHM)

The scope of work was the production of the national strategy for PHM. Through establishing a national PHM expert group, we worked together to design and test the core tools of PHM implementation: population segmentation, case-finding algorithms, health need assessment tools for the demand and supply and burden of disease and disability assessment.
Our team to design and implement the core PHM tools to deliver the following:

• Operational research and International benchmarking with primary and secondary literature review
• Stakeholders' engagement and action learning set with the PHM Expert Group at the national level to deliver technical documents able to guide the implementation journey: PHM operating manual, population segmentation and risk stratification manual, the health need assessment manual, and manual for conducting the disability and burden of disease assessment
• Data analysis, simulation, and strategy design to implement core tools:
  • Population segmentation and risk stratification strategy
  • Algorithms and data dictionary
  • Case-Finding algorithms
  • Pilot programs on existing health analytics and clusters
  • Burden of Disease assessment and Disability Weight tool
  • Health supply assessment tools
  • Health need assessment tools
• Pilot programmes to test existing tools, data collection, elaboration, and recommendations
• Proof of concept - national PHM platform for PHM data strategy
